Wholesale construction fasteners / Austin

Construction screws need a matching thread and material.

Buy construction screws wholesale through Jorkli's inquiry-only catalogue. For trade counters, maintenance buyers and site purchasing across the United States, the fastener family separates timber screws from sheet-metal and machine-thread hardware. Jorkli is based in Austin, Texas.

Enquiry basis: per boxDiameter, length, thread, coating and quantity determine the specification to price. Box contents, availability and lead time are confirmed after enquiry. No binding USD price is published.

Four working groups

Choose the holding action before the head.

The fastener must engage something suitable. A familiar drive is useful, but it cannot make a timber thread correct for a tapped hole. These groups describe that first decision; the rows below identify what remains to be checked.

01 / Timber engagement

Wood screws

Coarse-thread construction screws with a Torx drive and corrosion-resistant coating suit stated timber fastening work. Specify the timber and its treatment. A coating description is not evidence that the screw suits every preservative or exterior exposure.

Overall length does not tell us how much thread engages the receiving timber. The attached board, any gap and the head's seating position use part of that length. Structural connections need the selected screw's technical data and an appropriate design, not a general catalogue substitution.

Do not infer structural suitability.A general wood screw listing does not replace a specified structural screw. Keep the required product specification with the enquiry.

02 / Sheet and support

Self-drilling screws

A drill-point screw forms a hole before its thread engages suitable metal. This line is for sheet and support combinations where the point, thread and head match the actual assembly. Washer options belong to that selection, not to an assumption that every metal screw seals a roof.

Comparing suppliers of self-drilling screws? Send the support thickness as well as the visible sheet gauge. A point that passes easily through the first sheet may still be wrong for the steel behind it. Do not compensate for a mismatched drill point by adding pressure or changing the required fixing position.

Coating and contact metals need a separate check. Steel sheet, aluminum and exposed damp joints do not present identical corrosion conditions. Describe the environment and keep any specified material requirement intact.

A drill point is not a universal drilling capacity. The selected product's limits control use. Send measured thickness with units if the gauge designation is uncertain.

03 / A prepared thread

Machine screws

Machine screws have a consistent thread intended for a matching nut or tapped hole. They suit assembly and replacement requests where the mating thread can be identified. They are not intended to find their own thread in timber just because the diameter looks close.

Use the full thread designation. Diameter without pitch leaves a critical gap, and metric and imperial hardware can appear similar at a glance. A screw that begins to turn is not proof of a match. Stop if a clean, correctly aligned thread binds rather than using the driver to force it.

Head form controls the length convention and seating surface. A countersunk head and a projecting head can call for different measurements even when both are described with the same nominal length. Give the existing head style and the available clearance.

Identification

Head

Length

Do not use force to identify a thread.A near match can damage the receiving component. State an existing part designation or measured thread before a substitute is considered.

04 / The mating hardware

Nuts and washers

Matching nuts and load-spreading washers support assembly and replacement work around the screw or bolt. A nut needs the same thread system and pitch as the male fastener. A washer needs a suitable bore, outside diameter and thickness for the assembly, rather than merely a hole that passes over the thread.

A larger washer changes the bearing area but does not establish a load rating. It can also interfere with a recess or leave a nut with too little thread engagement. Identify the full stack of material under the head and nut when the fit is tight.

Material and coating should be considered with the mating fastener and surrounding metal. Send any required grade or finish as part of the specification. Jorkli does not identify a steel grade from a photograph of a silver surface.

Check wrench and setter fit
A comparison you can inspect

The same diameter does not mean the same fixing.

Each row changes the receiving material or the mating interface. These are selection checks, not a table of stocked sizes or rated capacities.

Units belong beside the number

For example, a pitch in millimeters and a threads-per-inch description are different conventions, not interchangeable labels. This page intentionally gives no torque, load or pilot-hole figure: those belong to the specific product and application confirmed for the request.

Coating and drive

Color does not specify corrosion resistance.

A coated screw is not a stainless screw. Nor does the drive name tell you the bit size or a permitted tightening torque.

Exposure changes the enquiry

Interior dry work and weather-exposed work put different demands on a finish. Timber treatment and dissimilar metals can add compatibility questions. Specify the exposure instead of choosing by the appearance of a coating.

Drive fit saves the head

The right bit must seat fully in the selected drive. Dirt, wear or a near-fitting size can damage the recess. Check the exact size with the line and keep replacement bits in the same request where needed.

Material stacks consume length

The item being attached is not the receiving material. Record their thicknesses separately. A washer or stand-off can change how much thread remains available even when the overall screw length has not changed.

Existing specifications stay visible

If the job calls for a particular grade or approved connection detail, send that requirement. A catalogue family is a route to ask about the component, not permission to remove a design requirement.

The purchasing sequence

Get the fit checked before comparing boxes.

Wholesale construction fasteners enquiries work best when the part description and its quantity stay together. Several sizes can travel in one request without becoming one specification.

Send an enquiry
  1. Identify the receiving material. Before sending the request, state timber, metal sheet or the existing threaded component. Add exposure and any specified finish.
  2. Record each line separately.Write the thread, length and head beside its quantity. Say whether that quantity is pieces needed or boxes requested.
  3. Resolve specification questions. After the enquiry, Jorkli checks compatibility and the available pack basis. A missing pitch or uncertain substrate needs clarification rather than a silent guess.
  4. Review the response.Stock and lead time need confirmation along with the line. Sending the request does not reserve goods, accept payment or create an order.
Before you commit the line

This is for component buyers, not connection design.

Need a live stock counter or an immediate retail checkout? This catalogue is not that route. It is for buyers who need a specification checked and a pack basis confirmed. If you only have a worn sample, describe what can be measured and what is unknown; uncertainty can be carried into an enquiry without pretending it is a complete specification.

Jorkli does not promise that a generic fastener can replace a specified structural connection. Load-critical work needs the appropriate design and product documentation. For substrate fixings instead of timber or machine threads, use the anchor family. For drill bits and cutting preparation, use consumables.
